The minimal number of occurrences of the path-pattern in a linear ordering of the vertices of the graph. A graph is a disjoint union of paths if and only if in any linear ordering of its vertices, there are no three vertices $a < b < c$ such that $(a,c)$ is an edge. This statistic is the minimal number of occurrences of this pattern, in the set of all linear orderings of the vertices.

The minimal number of occurrences of the outerplanar pattern in a linear ordering of the vertices of the graph. A graph is outerplanar if and only if in any linear ordering of its vertices, there are no four vertices $a < b < c < d$ such that $(a,c)$ and $(b,d)$ are edges. This statistic is the minimal number of occurrences of this pattern, in the set of all linear orderings of the vertices.

The number of parts from which one can substract 2 and still get an integer partition.

The number of standard tableaux of shape equal to the given partition such that the minimal cyclic descent is even. To be precise, this is given for a partition $\lambda \vdash n$ by the number of standard tableaux $T$ of shape $\lambda$ such that $\min\big( \operatorname{Des}(T) \cup \{n\} \big)$ is even. This notion was used in [1, Proposition 2.3], see also [2, Theorem 1.1]. The case of an odd minimum is [[St000620]].

The number of big descents of a permutation. For a permutation $\pi$, this is the number of indices $i$ such that $\pi(i)-\pi(i+1) > 1$. The generating functions of big descents is equal to the generating function of (normal) descents after sending a permutation from cycle to one-line notation [[Mp00090]], see [Theorem 2.5, 1].
